The KOLDA CORPORATION’S VOSS (Viscous Oil Skimming System) has evolved to be today the most powerful and formidable equipment available in the market for the proper and efficient handling of hydrocarbon spills. Even if they are highly viscous, emulsified, with high debris content, or of any combination thereof, which are frequently the type of situation encountered while combating spills in continental waters or offshore.
While keeping a lightweight, the KOLDA’S VOSS combines a milimetrically adjustable hydraulic weir, that controls the amount of liquid that can enter into the equipment, with a powerful hydraulic pump and an endless screw (auger). The Centrifugal Vortex type pump is capable to pass solids up to 3", the pump has a chopper plate that cuts and chops any debris commonly found in oil spills, including dead fish and birds. The efficient endless screw (auger) chops, transports and feeds the recovered product to the pump. The adjustable weir has a Depth Gauge that allows the operator to evaluate the depth of the weir lip, to adjust it according to the depth of the oil slick.
