PERMANENT BOOM
Oil Containment Boom is used to dam oil floating on water. In other words the boom "contains" the oil. Several factors affect the capacity of a boom to contain oil. The paramount factors are water current, wave height, wind velocity, and viscosity of the oil. Ease of deployment, retrieval, cleaning and storage are basic considerations in KOLDA’s Containment Boom. However, it may be left in water full time if conditions warrant. Used either way, years of useful life can be expected from this boom.
